Yeah we should be guarding its use correctly. I'm making some updates to MMMC stuff now so I'll try to check its use to be more robust.
I think we want to be careful about reinventing too much, or solving general problems when we only have specific versions of those problems. If this is just about technologies...
Can you explain the other use cases, that are not solved by technology plugins being able to add their own hooks?

I think of it as a hardened module. So this is in reference to all the collateral needed to use that hardened module somewhere else. Do you have an alternative...
