@perost have you already implemented the functions to only instantiate the icon layer, instead of the whole class? I guess this would help here.
How long will it take to get that feature?
Decision after today's devmeeting: @perost will investigate how much work is needed to implement this and if it is possible to do it in a simpler way for starters.

@niklwors the log is large, but I guess if you zip it then it could become more manageable (e.g. a few MB)
