The NR database merges identical proteins into one entry, which means there are proteins identical to SCI95225.1 for which the given taxids are correct. It's not possible to reduce sequences...
It is caused by a lack of AVX2 instructions on older CPUs. I'm aware of the issue and will post a fix in the next days.
This should be fixed in the latest release, although based on the compiler flags automatically used by conda, it may still not work on very old systems. If it fails...
It means the file does not exist. Make sure that `prot.accession2taxid.FULL.gz` is in the same directory.
It means the file `reference1.dmnd` is not found in the current directory.
I'm not sure I understand your question. You can create a mini NR database by yourself and use diamond with it.
