`[[...]]` is reserved notation in Boostnote Markdown notes. Try it ;-)

I think this was disabled only to see if there where any performance issues. Perhaps default setting could be reconsidered. Many applications enable spell check per default.

not only does this affect highlighting. Every file is processed by the plugin. For example for the file `main.cc` ```c #include ``` a new tag is added called `include`.
