Mic is known to not work on random devices. I need to come up with a solution to this. Other than that, everything should just work. I'll get at least...
I'm pretty sure I found the issue with the topology, can you all test this [fixed topology](https://files.tree123.org/sof-adl-rt1019-rt5682.tplg.xz)? Just put it in `/lib/firmware/intel/sof-tplg/`
Can you send the currently installed version of sof-firmware? (should be `apt info sof-firmware`)
I wonder what would happen with a newer version of sof-bin and the rename workaround.
The headphone jack noise may just be a hardware issue on your end.
Every karis uses rt5650, not rt5682(i). I thought I had added this to the script, but Karis currently needs a patched topology which you can get [here](https://files.tree123.org/sof-mtl-rt5650.tplg). Drop that file...
Commit 3346542 should fix this
1: Ubuntu 24.04 wont work as it is too old. The README says to use 25.04. 2: You need a patched kernel, as the script output should say.
