I need to figure out the best way to detect a JSL chromebook as google didn't set the smbios platform name for some reason.
Can someone send me the output of `ls /sys/bus/platform/devices`
also `cat /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:02.0/device`

Assuming your kernel has the required kernel drivers, and you have the UCM, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Yes, you do need to keep the volume low to avoid damage. But it should work.
