It would also be good to have the audio continue when switching to another app, without needing the PiP.

Unfortunately I'm not able to replicate it at will - it sometimes happens and sometimes does not. I'll see if I can narrow down the circumstances when it does happen.

Since opening this ticket I have changed phones (now Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Android 6.0.1, Document Viewer 2.7.8) but it's still happening. I cannot always force it to happen, but...
