Advised as a first step by iirc Gecko to make it easy to reenable if someone comes out of nowhere and gives a good reason to keep this.
When does it occur twice? when launching with just `-northstar` or via NorthstarLauncher?
Amos tested this on Discord using an i3 he had around specs  it apparently worked just fine meanwhile other people with the same core and thread count are running...

Are you doing in-tree builds? Those are *highly* frowned upon and no automated tool will ever even consider doing this.
