As, again, settings navigation in Unigram is pretty much exactly the same as all other Telegram apps, I'm closing this
Considering that I was not able to reproduce this and there was no updates on this ticket over the last year I'll just close it
@lynxtaa Unfortunately the amount of work required to disable all the animations in the app is massive and would leave a lot of stuff broken. You can still disable many...
Workaround is to click 10 times on the app version, to choose "Test DC" and then to restart the app. I don't plan any further improvements on this.

Re-closing this just in case
The option to open a chat to a new window has been moved to the context menu and I'd prefer not to have the shift shortcut for this anymore
