Yeah. I don't really do this as a hobby much and my work is not presently overlapping with this. To bump any of those crates a major version of Surf...
Consider it unmaintained. Let me know if I can help by putting something on the repo or such. I won’t have time to go through the significant effort this crate...
I believe this was effectively solved by moving to [`http_types::Error`](https://docs.rs/http-types/2.3.0/http_types/struct.Error.html) in https://github.com/http-rs/surf/commit/c8366fb2b9d7d59af8e9cc7a5f9d2173d459e7ec. cc @yoshuawuyts
I don't think this is going to make the cut for 2.0 as I am unsure what to do about this.
We will have a 3.0 at some point and we should think about it for that.
That is also my understanding, however the error handling project group is also working on fixing `StdError` in ways that should help, as far as I'm aware.
since this crate exposes rustls api this is a breaking change, requiring a major, and that makes it require effort and I am short on time these days
Try building with `default-features = false, features = ["h1-client"]`
Honestly I wasn't really sure if that would work but cool to know that it did.
