The FFT is already in it's own thread. doZoom is called from the aquireFFTBuffer (or whatever don't remember the exact name) function which is called by the DSP handler code....

This is the intented behavior (same behavior as WebSDR for example) The way it's done in GQRX quickly clogs up the screen when many bookmarks are used
