Also, when there is a crash like above, the whole solara app grays out. I can no longer use it and have to kill the session.

Re: Compass crash -- It is not a problem on `main` using `voila` 0.4.5. Also, if threading is a problem, Cubeviz movie maker might also be in trouble.
