Submitted a pull request that adds the app bundle (Content/Frameworks) as path for plugin loading. Also the "make all" and "make install" builds the plugins and copies the app bundle...
`rdbtool` can create a disk image with PFS3 as of now, using the `fsadd` command. Manipulating, or even formatting, the filesystem is another question of course. ;)

Try `superfamiconv palette --palettes 1 --colors 256`, followed by the input/output paths.
