can it be that `setxkbmap` resets your Hyper_L? KeyboardLayout triggers that command

`setxkbmap` is used only in keyboardLayout widget and if you don't have it - it can't be initialized from Qtile.

we need to add some "outdated" flag or add working Qtile version. Example folder should be cleaned
