@andrewloomis Try to use the queue chain in gstreamer with the following options: `! queue max-size-bytes=0 max-size-buffers=0` This solved most of my similar issues.

As I can recall GStreamer uses this method by default.

I doubt that it will be ever fixed for node 10.3.+ :( Currently the fastest implementation is: https://github.com/LinusU/cwasm-jpeg-turbo

Note that since a few days you have to add 'https://www.jitpack.io' (www. subdomain) or the build will fail.
