Probably a system setting rather than a qksms one. I'm using qksms 3.10.1 (f-droid) on A11 and the dates shown for old messages aren't ambiguous at all: "Dec 24, 2022,...

I can confirm this is broken for 3.10.1.2220 but working on 3.9.4.2218 (from F-droid on Android 11)

Old group titles aren't removed when upgrading to 3.10, it's just that you can't add new ones.
