Same issue here : the backup feature seems to work only with contacts and regular calendars (ie. ics files with calendar events). But there is no backup for my todo...

I fully agree, keeping only the last few backups would be a very nice feature (as well to choose the backup folders).

Note that if I redo the backup I always have the same amount of saved files (692 pictures and 17 videos instead of 2262 files).
