I experience the same thing, with Windows 11 24H2, the clearing of WinSxS is extremely slow, so unless I have a windows update, I usually unclick the box for this...

For some unknown reason, the process of sorting out the SXS files have speeded a lot recently. So the problem is no more.
Completely agree, I have sometimes up to 3 playlists on my home screen, it will be nice to block them.
The only way for me to restore the icon is to deinstall and reinstall, it happened to both beta and stable version on 4 of my Firestick 4K sometimes randomly...

I have updated Smarttube and its beta version yesterday, and the icon have stayed put. I think the problem have sorted itself out.
I am afraid after March, the Smartube icon on my Firestick 4K has been ok, both Beta and stable version, that is until last week when I noticed the icon...
