Just chiming in that this is also my top feature request from the Mushroom suite of UX modifications :)

This could be what I'm experiencing too. Whenever a battery gets "low" and the light starts blinking 3 times on the sensor, I start to receive the "Invalid packet" notifications....

Also keen for this. Just doing a custom M600 currently, however that doesn't handle different material types/temps/flow rates.

For anyone still arriving at this that believes they're experiencing this issue, please wait until at least layer 5 starts to check. I came here to ask about the same...
