Since my last update to Ubuntu 20.04 with Rocket.chat 2.17.9, I dont get this issue anymore: about 300MB or RAM (for all processes) after few days of use.

@perry-mitchell why having a per-archive option? I don't see any issue with having it system/app wide from a security point of view. And it would be easier to implement too.

Glad to be of any help. As an after though, I think it would be even better to: - offer default Words instead of Char - have this selection saved...

Having default en-US time/date (AM/PM & MM/dd/YY) is a major bummer for the other 70% of the world population, and would be minor for the 30% otherwise.
