Seems replacing with [terser](https://github.com/ahorek/terser-ruby) with ES6 support has been the repeated suggestion here.
I see you used this color shade strategy by default, instead of as an opt-in. Tested the prod, works great.

The app does not work for me on a M1 Macbook Pro with Mac OS Monterey 12.3. Recording turn out as black. Granted Full Disk Access and Screen Recording permissions....
