Closing as stale, there is not enough info and this has probably been fixed upstream.

IMO this feature should be removed. The interval is set by the frequency of the celery beat or cron job. It is useless.

This is already possible to do using a custom mail backend and IMO it would be harmful to complicate the helpdesk with functionality that is duplicated elsewhere.

This is badly out of date and will be implemented in a new PR. Thank you for your effort.
