This is reproducible on openSUSE 15.2 Leap. This usually results in temporarily having duplicate desktop file entries because appimaged will immediately pickup an AppImage after downloading and it'll create another...

which kernel version are you running and which version of the r8168? I'm assuming 8.048.02 based on the date but just want to confirm.
