There are few subtitle formats that use the .sub extension. Some of them contain the subtitles as images, so you can't change the color. Basically if other players show them...

So this extension does work on Linux? I thought it doesn't; it didn't for me.

This is determined by your shell prompt, not by the terminal.

On Antergos the dropdown terminal works no matter if num lock is on or off. EDIT: Oh, you mean tilda in password.
