This is by design, as seasons vary from region to region. The current design is that the timexlib should be able to resolve, but it needs to have a resolution...
Ideally that's the desired behaviour. But in the current design it's still acceptable to return the past and future alternatives. Let's see what can be done in the near term.

We'll consider supporting these less common cases, but currently it's not considered high priority.
There is an open PR for this in .NET, but we don't currently have an ETA when it would be ported to Python.
