Open System Information and go to Bluetooth. Whats you LMP Version there?

It seems like your dongle is either not correctly recognized or you've got the wrong dongle. Your Manufacturer should be Broadcom.

@archaik yes disconnecting the old chip should solve this. As you've already concluded, any other connected bluetooth chip/device could cause problems and should therefore be disconnected.

Could you test the newest beta? I am using a new patch there, which did not cause a kernel panic when I tested it. I do not have a dongle...

With 2.4b ? Send me an email and I will send you a custom patched kext. I'm starting to think CAT might just apply the patch wrong.

Could you guys try the latest beta and report back? Does your mac still boot? Wifi still available? bluetooth still available? continuity reported as active by cat? continuity working?

Do you still run into this problem? There have been problems in the past where either the OS on the Phone or the Mac was too new and therefore not...
