Thanks for the report @dsanders11! Persisting the selected changes state across updates definitely makes sense to me (similar to https://github.com/desktop/desktop/issues/5315 in how we don't persist the zoom state on Windows...
Chatted with @billygriffin about this and we concluded that we should change the label to `enhancement` since it aligns more with something we could improve on versus something that broke.

I'm going through old issues and confirmed this bug still exists in v3.2.0.

@JPZV try closing out GitHub Desktop (and ending any lingering processes), then uncheck `Use system OpenSSH` and try cloning again.
@markuswinter you can download 3.3.13 (the last version compatible with your macOS version) from this link and it shouldn't bother you more with auto-updates: https://centralreleases.blob.core.windows.net/github-desktop/releases/3.3.13-1b0804db/GitHubDesktop-x64.zip
