Huge memory leak when menubar running for a long time

I apologize for not attaching any leak analysis, but in Activity Monitor, Nightscout is using 2 GiB of real memory after running for several weeks.

It would be great to have a compact mode for the menu bar status. For example, instead of: 99 (-12) ↓(2 min ago) it could be: 99 ↓ -12 [2m]...
