Broken event alerts on MacOS Calendar.app

Hi! I want to report an issue that appears serious to me, which is that event alerts (AKA notifications) are being broken through synchronization, even after enabling them multiple times....

hangs if gist.github unreachable

If gist.github.com is unreachable invoking the plugin will hang ST2 (gist.github.com is giving me connectivity issues today). Thanks :)

ctrl-s to call update instead of save

It would be very handy to have the option of specifying in my user key config that when editing a gist and ctrl-s is pressed the update command is called...
