Maybe do some crowdfunding or, easier for this task, use BugBounty, so people can "sponsor" this issue here and if there is enough interest to get $100, you can publish...

Maybe you can just use a HTML meta tag? You would then of course need to strip that tag before verifying the HTML, but IMHO this would be a nice...

BTW when stripping the tag I strongly suggest to **only** strip the actual key (so just the value of the meta tag). So leave an empty tag behind. Because otherwise...

Cannot reproduce. If I use https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite and use the context menu to create the QR code, it does show me the error instantly. Could you maybe specify the exact site,...
