I think this is a Qt issue. The Library preferences use `QFontDialog` and Mixxx just passes a QFont around, ie. sends it to the library, reads it from the library....
FYI the font **display** in the preferences has recently been fixed here #15382, fix will be available in Mixxx 2.5.4
Also FYI, I think I found a fix for > Funny: if I use Ubuntu Sans Condensed Bold, all playlists/crates use the Regular variant, except when they contain the tracks...
To recap the original issue > I would like to use a condensed font (Ubuntu Sans Condensed, for example) so that I can read more characters of track titles before...
and the other one > when opening the font selection dialog box, the wrong variant is selected in many cases. > Nimbus Sans any variant -> there is nothing selected...
I think he already did that, I guess seek accuracy is not good enough. FYI a shift half beat action has been added recently and it's available in the beatgrid...
So can we consider this fixed by #14279? The control is [[group],beats_translate_half](https://manual.mixxx.org/2.6/en/chapters/appendix/mixxx_controls.html#control-[ChannelN]-beats_translate_half)
Which Mixxx version and which official skin are you using? If you start Mixxx in developer mode and hover the beatgrid move buttons you should see move_half connection.
Deere has this button in main https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/14279/files Please double-check.
