figured out why... there is no inequality `!=` operator. see https://github.com/nathansobo/monarch/blob/master/lib/monarch/expressions/predicate.coffee#L4-L10 was there a specific reason for leaving this one out?
I just noticed there is a .gitmodules file here.

this is already done for repos, just need to add it for `component` itself
