Beware of this issue: https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43407 occurring in OLD gcc compilers (e.g. 5.4) installed on Ubuntu 16.04 Fixed in NEW gcc in Ubuntu 18.04.
Duplicate of #718 too. Anyway, yarpserver warns with you with a message when started with a non- standard configuration. This warning should be not ignored by the user.

This is a well known behaviour but it is exremily difficult to improve. Checking if a connection is active or not, involves the establishment of multiple (4?) back and forth...
