@anwarnk Yes, this is how we solved it as well. However, granting AKS permissions over the private DNS zones in the connectivity subscription is not a good idea.

Can we enable this feature for the traditional hub vnet, as we are not using Virtual WAN network resources?

I think this is a good idea to set a lock on a resource group level. But I also agree with @jtracey93 that the lock should be set to CannotDelete...
