We have this issue and tomorrow we will be investigating other TTS libraries to switch to. Since it seems like no effort is being made here. Maybe https://pub.dev/packages/flutter_tts_improved

jcenter is now officially deprecated, read only, and blacks out often. We can't trust it (anymore). It is now very important to release a version without jcenter dependency

In our project this is the last library that forces us to depend on jCenter. It would be great to see this cleaned up.
