@idanakav are you currently using this/is it still working? I [cherry picked your branch](https://github.com/pswaminathan/intellij/tree/compose-previews-from-release) into the [latest release](https://github.com/bazelbuild/intellij/tree/v2022.11.29-aswb-stable), and I'm getting errors like "Cannot obtain the application ID."

So here is the problem—it's not consistent. We would also be very interested in a release with #1036 merged.

I know the tests don't have any JS examples running, so those aren't representative of this working. But the example fail-case I gave in the linked issue does work with...

@restingbull can you elaborate on the preferred direction? Would having something like `cc_library.copts` or `java_library.javacopts` be workable? Maybe something like `kapt_copts`/`ksp_copts` and passing them directly in the rules?
