Same behavior in EOS 6.1 stable on Lenovo Y580 single-screen setup with Intel+Nvidia GPU. Not critical, but annoying.

Dashes not allowed in username during installation of elementary OS 6.0

The same on EOS 6.1 stable. If I enter `prid-PC` - it saves `pridPC`. I think it's the same issue: https://github.com/elementary/initial-setup/issues/135#issuecomment-1020687980

/etc/hosts not updated to reflect hostname set on initial setup

Also this proposed device name `Inspiron-3583-abcdefgh` is used in `syslog` and maybe other logs. I have a bit more strange behavior. During installation I changed proposed `Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y580-d4dce24c` to `prid-PC`. Later...
