Just confirming that this proposal works for the GOA pipeline.
@vanaukenk Please fix the instructions below as needed - I think you know what the fields are called Update query would set the constant values (evidence type = ECO:0000245 and...
I think the guidelines ere to copy the gene name if there is not symbol. Maybe some pipelines expect that information.
To be discussed at this week's managers's call - @balhoff would like feedback as to whether we want to include this in the specs > Allow other properties but require...
Hi @sjm41 I would say yes to all 3 questions above: if the chemical is the one used by RHEA, then it's the one you should use. Thanks, Pascale
Hi Steven, This is on the agenda for the next Ontology call Oct 7th; can you make it? Thanks, Pascale
That seems consistent with how we have handled other fatty acid terms - do you want to create the new terms?
@sjm41 - for reference: I think GO:0016401 palmitoyl-CoA oxidase activity corresponds to [RHEA:40167](https://www.rhea-db.org/rhea/40167) (RHAA calls palmitoyl-CoA, "hexadecanoyl-CoA", see https://www.ebi.ac.uk/chebi/searchId.do?chebiId=CHEBI:57379 So that would merge into NTR long-chain-chain fatty acyl-CoA oxidase activity...
However for GO:0016402 pristanoyl-CoA oxidase activity, it's not a child of long chain fatty acid in ChEBI, it's a branched chained (and they dont classify it WRT length), so should...
For GO, one major decision factor has been enzyme specificity. If the enzymes don't distinguish between branched and linear substrates, then we would not create/keep the terms.
