Might try watching for [UISceneDidActivateNotification](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiscenedidactivatenotification?language=objc) from the scene associated with your UIViewController's window.

As the README file states, AppAuth does not make use of UIWebView. I'd check to make sure there isn't a reference elsewhere in your app or other dependencies.
