Same issue. I have grub on internal mmc and everything else on an external drive. The only difference is that I get a grub error. If you find a way...

I've been able to resolve this by decreasing bitrate. Try setting bitrate to 256. I've also adjusted my packet size to 512.
Also able to replicate within my branch (Kindle-touch). [Reverting to a previous revision and setting npkgs to 6143fc like @PedroMAdorno4 suggests does not appear to fix this. https://github.com/pcs3rd/mobile-nixos/blob/Kindle-touch/.
