I also run into the same issue, but my usecase is changing the location in Javascript from ```http://host/abc/``` to ```http://host/abc/xyz/```.

I also seeing the same issue with Theia Electron BluePrint on Mac, where the run control menu items (Run, Step, etc...) under the 'Run' menu are enabled, clicking on them...
