Taiga can't predict episode delays.

You will want to use "Prefer matched items to similar ones" for this case. It's already coded (https://github.com/erengy/taiga/commit/9c19b8296daa56679ba6e59f9be92cd37e8acf95) you'll just have to compile Taiga yourself or wait the official v1.4....

From what I experience, Taiga will not wake up the HDD if you right-click an anime and scan for episodes and have the folder set in the anime settings but...
