When no custom theme is applied, do the tray icons look exactly like the respective original app icons? Or does any of the apps in question ship their own tray...
Design wise those dedicated tray icons seems the same as the monochrome symbolic app icons which GNOME apps ship for the top bar.
Can you please find where the icons are stored an provide us with the file names?

I've got it installed but can't find the icons. @bil-elmoussaoui Where did you find them. Something needs to be done, the original icons are really atrocious.
