Tried on current master, both Dx9 and GL renderers, Caelum off and on, Debug/Release builds. Couldn't reproduce. System: Win10, Visual studio 2022, CPU ryzen 5600, GPU nVidia GTX 660
Just tested in latest master - still happens. Though it's clearly not a bug but simply an edge case in the terrain system - the vertical scale of the heightmap...
