The Airsonic server already supports this and should scrobble the play activity Audinaut sends back to it. :) ![2018-03-28 18 43 06 723](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/6550543/38060233-e4b2e252-32b7-11e8-9d4a-12a696e0207d.png)

Doh! Looks like there's a number of issues with Airsonic's scrobbling support. https://github.com/airsonic/airsonic/issues/507 https://github.com/airsonic/airsonic/issues/585 Also looks like Audinaut is not doing what I thought. Reopening!

@jangrewe Are you sure? I thought the same thing, but noticed it only does so when downloading the file. Playing cached media, even when in online mode, does not scrobble.

EDIT: No longer blocked. OpenAPI version 2.0 spec now included with Jellyfin is sufficient. Blocked by https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/34

Use [Jellysub](https://github.com/nvllsvm/jellysub) in front of Jellyfin until Audinaut has proper support.

I'm planning to use MediaSessionCompat and related. Should resolve this issue. https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media-apps/audio-app/building-an-audio-app

Audinaut will only officially support Libresonic as a server. Other servers will not be looked into by me, though I may accept a patch if someone makes one.

FYI - DSub and Audinaut use completely different network stacks (Apache vs OkHttp).

Yes - this is something I'd like to add.

Would be useful for the jellyfin project https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/482
