AFAIK no, there might be some work going with this in libdecoration but I wouldn't count on that. Non native window borders are small price to pay for wayland support...

yes this may be a compositor issue. can you try reproducing with gnome shell? and weston isn't currently supported
I've just hit this in Ubuntu 23.10. Hopefully the fix lands into Ubuntu at some point xdg-desktop-portal is already the newest version (1.18.0-1ubuntu1). xdg-desktop-portal-gtk is already the newest version (1.14.1-1)....
As a workaround you can restart the portals using ``` systemctl --user restart xdg-desktop-portal-gtk xdg-desktop-portal-gnome xdg-desktop-portal xdg-document-portal ```
