A security research recreated the go-fsnotify organization. My mistake for relying on the GitHub redirect and not considering the security implications.

I've heard of some bindata tools that convert files into Go code. Might make it easier to work with templates like this while still having a single executable.

As a work around, you can use Shields.io to create a custom badge, but you will have to update the version # manually with each release. http://shields.io/
