Hrm, FWIW, I don't think your AuthBasicProvider makes sense -- are you actually running LDAP locally? Or are you using digest-based access? There is no "logout" facility in autotest currently...

I think this is a false approach, as, e.g. on Ubuntu, there can be 4 dnsmasq instances running even on a desktop (lxd, lxc, libvirt, networkmanager). There is no /etc/dnsmasq.conf...
