In many RFID systems, there's a limited number of discrete memory locations which can hold authorized keys. These are usually called slots. This doesn't fix seltzer, but it might help...

Note that client-side stuff like this can be broken by such things as "putting the server instance behind SSL", whereupon a whiny browser decides to just ignore all the scripts...
