We just talked with Gustavo about this. He prefers a `SKIP "$reason"` function in spread that can be run from prepare or execute.

I guess a generic "can we build a snap at all" would also be good.

I wonder if we can try this again? But it seems there was no movement in the debian bugreport and `$ dpkg -L golang-dbus-dev|grep v5` comes back empty
